Free Initial Consultation

At Nelson Bay Handyman, once we receive your request for our services either through the entry form on this site, email or over the phone, we will set up an appointment for a FREE on-site visit to discuss what you would like us to do and time frame to complete the task. That way we can meet with you and offer our professional advice to help you clarify the scope of the task you want done, materials and anticipated costs which may include items such as, equipment hire, tip fees, etc.

Providing a Quote

From our on site meeting we will provide you with a written quote to complete the task which is valid for 14 days. Should we identify additional work and costs once a task has started we will stop and inform you before proceeding any further and then update the original quote accordingly so that you are aware of any additional costs and time to complete the task.

Completing the task

After receiving written confirmation that you have accepted our quote we will confirm the date and estimated time to complete the task which may also include building access requirements (ie; keys and or notification to security company), isolation of services such as power & water or impact to vehicle access to your site.

Depending on the task you may have your own materials or items that you have asked us to fit/install, or we will source the most appropriate material or item and fit/install it for you, which will be included in our quote.

At the end of the task we will ensure the immediate work area is clean and tidy, services restored if we have required them to be isolated and remove any rubbish.

We do not enter into written contracts as the provision of our services are agreed to in writing between us and you the customer via written quotes and your written confirmation that you agree to the costs for the scope of work to be completed by us.

Changes to scope of work

Deviations or additions to the original scope of work are handled with updated written quotes and written confirmation from you the customer. We will provide a breakdown of all additional costs upon request.
